The Lighthouse Project, Nepal

AAI Safehouse in NepalInitially, the 'Lighthouse' will be a temporary protection solution and we would like to build on this to provide continual education, security and a safehaven for young people to grow and become established members of their community.

Throughout 2011/12 many projects are in development that will enable this safehouse to be self-sustaining and give to a young child what they currently do not have, which is a choice.

The ability to choose what they do in life without having to live on the street begging for food and becoming a trafficked victim.

Many girls in Nepal and India have been trapped in India's booming sex industry because they do not have that choice and the sex trade is expanding all the time and the poor are getting poorer, but you can choose to do something about it.

You can stand in the gap and help us to help them.

Musicians Against Trafficking

"Music is universal, it cuts across borders, languages and cultures and can be used in so many ways to help get the message across that human trafficking must end!"

We are taking onboard an idea from AAI Trustee John Wearne to run a campaign as part of a new drive to even more success and growth in 2012, so we have introduced Musicians Against Trafficking.

Tara London AAI UK Goodwill AmbassadorAct Against Injustice are big on music, you might have guessed, as our roots were originally as a music download website and we have not forgotten our background, just improved on it.

We love music so what better thing to use to push the charity forward through 2012.

The innocent child dies on the inside; they simply give up hope; 60 to 75 percent of them are raped in prostitution.

AAI working to stop abuse

We recognise that the trafficking of people will not end overnight and that the fight against this evil is long haul.

However, we are determined to make an impact and it is only through consistant effort to educate the demand side of the crime that child sex-trafficking will be reduced...

Being a faith based group, everything we do is ran through Christ, with Christ and for Christ, although we do not exclude non-believers from our team.

Our faith is important to us, but you don't have to believe in God to be effective, moral and ethical views are just as important.
